Spring into action, Cleveland!

Awaken your senses after a cold winter with these fun Spring events.  As one of Ohio’s most lively cities, there is certainly plenty to do in Cleveland!  Here are a few special events coming up this season:

 

Big Spring

The Cleveland Botanical Garden is hosting an imaginative indoor and outdoor celebration of Spring! There are several attractions that are perfect for kids or kids at heart including the Ladybug Labyrinth and Toadstool Theatre. You can witness this larger than life exhibition of vibrant colors and towering flowers fittingly titled Big Spring, from Saturday, March 19th through Sunday April 24th. Hessler Street Fair

This artist-friendly, all-volunteer festival features live music, poetry readings, a variety of delicious food, and street vendors showcasing their art and merchandise. The fair has been around for 43 years and attracts thousands of people, but still maintains its relaxed atmosphere.  Local Vendors and artisans will be selling their wares in this neighborhood fair May 21st and 22nd from 11AM to dusk, rain or shine. hesslerstreetfair.org

 

North Union Farmers Market

This outdoor farmers market is a perfect addition to your Spring itinerary, especially for those who appreciate local food and products. Beginning April 2nd, families, farmers, artists, and chefs will gather at the outdoor market to enjoy fresh local produce. Walnut Wednesdays

Stop by for a fun food truck lunch in one of downtown Cleveland’s fastest growing neighborhoods. About 20 food trucks line up along Walnut Avenue and East 12th Street to feed downtown employees, residents, and visitors. Parade the Circle

This artful parade of costumes, dancers, and colorful floats takes place closer to summer but displays all the vibrant colors of Spring! Activities, entertainment, and food are all provided for free, as they have been for the past 26 years, by the Cleveland Museum of Art. The parade will begin at noon, June 11th. The Cleveland Flea

More than just a flea market, this outdoor market gives curators, makers and other creatives a way to make a living, while giving shoppers an experience they couldn’t find anywhere else.
