4 Must-Do Activities this Summer in Ohio

Ohio has plenty of outdoor attractions and activities – including lush forests, hiking trails, and a plethora of water activities. Whether your plans include a long day trip or just a quick stop, we’ve picked four exciting destinations worthy of being added to your summer itinerary!

  • John Bryan State Park

Stargazing at John Bryan State Park is just one of the many upcoming events scheduled for the summer. With that said, there are plenty of activities to do the whole year round, including an 18-hole disc golf course, as well as river access for fishers and boaters. While you’re nearby, you should consider stopping by Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve, a wonderful geological site dedicated to preserving native wildlife. The preserve provides excellent opportunities to view spring wildflowers and scenic waterfalls.

  • Zip line Course

Looking for an adrenaline rush? Go zip lining! Thrilling zip line canopy tours let you gain a new perspective on your surroundings from up above. This scenic tour takes you through a forest in Northern Ohio with very little hiking required to get from line to line. The guides will help put you at ease if you’re the type to get nervous about soaring through trees 60 feet off the ground at 50 miles per hour. Enjoy your time zipping from platform to platform and enjoy the beautiful Ohio scenery.

  • Trampoline Park

Enjoy more thrilling fun at Sky Zone Trampoline Park. This indoor park provides tons of bouncy trampoline surfaces, including designated volleyball and dodge-ball courts and foam pits. Sky Zone hosts special events on different days with some activities designed specifically for children or all ages. They even have tournaments for the intense dodge-ball fans – or as Sky Zone refers to it: Ultimate Dodge-ball. Have a blast hopping around here all summer long!

  • Rock Wall Climbing

Up for another adventure? Take to new heights with a trip to Vertical Adventures. Rock climbing isn’t just for athletes and adrenaline junkies – it’s for anyone! There are a range of climbing opportunities available for all ages regardless of experience.  If you aren’t immediately comfortable embracing your inner mountain goat, there are plenty of starter classes to get you accustomed to mountain climbing.
